How to End Your Working Day
How do you signify the end of your working day?
Let me explain......
I have something that I do at a set time of the day that will signify the end of my working day.
The reason I do this is to prevent me from the continuing to work, and then only stopping when I get too tired to keep going. This has a knock on effect to how well I work the next day, so it's important I don't let it happen.
It also gives me something to look forward to and a reason to step away from my desk.
On an average day, I start work at 6:30 AM, so I usually make 2:30 PM the end of my working day.
On Mondays, Wednesday and Friday, I have a workout at this time followed by a hot soak in the bath. Now, this works really well because after a workout I am much less inclined to want to hit the office, and I can really enjoy a nice hot soak without any pressure because I've already finished for the day.
On other days of the week, I like to get creative in the form of painting or grabbing my favourite colouring book. Other options include a cup of Earl Grey and an episode of my latest addiction on Netflix or just some quiet time with a good book.
